Eye bet you don't!
"I don't want to give him all this work at once; I don't want him to have a cornea."
Welcome to Genevieveisms!
Some people just can't help themselves.
The thought is formed, the intent is verified and the words come out with profoundly hilarious results. Sometimes it's a mixed-metaphor of the gods, other times it's a simple word-replacement scheme that causes the listener to do a mental double-take - the eyes narrowing as the mind ensures that the words were indeed processed correctly; but no matter the form, it's linguistic magic.
This blog is dedicated to Genevieve, a great friend and true alchemist of the English language. Having been deemed too selfish to keep these among the small group who are aware of her powers, let this serve as a friendly testament to inadvertent hilarity and a running list of her contributions to the lexicon.
